Privacy Policy

A reading site with no accounts and no checkout collects very little. Here is all of it.

Dinderly Veil has no sign-up, no basket and no booking flow, so there is almost nothing to collect, and that is deliberate rather than incidental.

Collected

  • Server logs. As with any web server, each request leaves an IP address, the page requested, a timestamp, a referring page and a browser user agent. These keep the site running and help spot abuse, and they are discarded on a rolling basis.
  • Aggregate analytics. We look at which pages get read and roughly how readers arrive, in aggregate. No visitor profiles are built and no attempt is made to identify anyone.
  • Email you send. If you write to the desk, your message and address are kept for as long as it takes to deal with it, and then no longer.

Not done

Personal data is never sold, rented or traded. There is no advertising network on this site, no cross-site tracking pixel, and no sharing with third parties beyond a hosting or analytics provider processing data on our behalf under contract, or a disclosure the law requires.

Cookies

No advertising or profiling cookies are set. Anything present is strictly functional or analytics-related, and blocking or deleting it breaks nothing here — the site is static text and does not depend on it.

Your choices

Browse with cookies off, with a blocker, or with do-not-track enabled; everything still works. To ask what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, write to privacy@dinderlyveil.com and it will be actioned.

Links out

Where we link off-site, that site's practices are its own. This policy covers dinderlyveil.com and nothing else.

Changes

A material change to this policy moves the date at the top of the page.

Nothing here is sold or traded.

The site collects what a web server cannot avoid collecting, and stops there.
